Scott is a seasoned life sciences executive with extensive finance and strategy experience. Most recently he held leadership roles as Vice President of corporate development at Mission Bio and as CFO of IXRF Systems. Previously, he held business development and investor relations roles at Standard BioTools. Scott joined Danaher at its Molecular Devices subsidiary to lead open innovation and strategy and was then recruited to open the San Francisco office of the newly formed Danaher Ventures corporate venture capital fund where he made several successful investments in emerging companies in the industry. Prior to Danaher, Scott led M&A at Varian Inc. and financial planning and analysis at Symyx Technologies and Xenogen. Early on in his career, Scott was an equity analyst at several investment banks including Salomon Brothers, NatWest Securities and Thomas Weisel Partners covering life science companies. He has a BS from Lehigh University, an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
